We hear that a lot especially from folks who usually don't venture downtown. There are (contrary to popular belief), many places to park but knowing the rules will set you up for real success. Here are some helpful bits of info:
- Street parking is ONLY free on Sundays and after 5:30pm. During the weekdays 8-5:30, you will need to buy a ticket from a city run parking meter (big grey box-1 per block) or download the PayByPhone app. The grey meter boxes accept coin and credit cards.
- Remember that there are sides of some streets downtown that have restricted parking 3:30-5:30pm. You WILL be towed if you are there one moment past that time.
- There are several public parking lots around us including but not limited to Albert St, King and Bannatyne and the lot across the street from the Burton Cummings Theatre.
- We currently have free parking for our customers on Thursday and Friday evenings 6-9pm and Saturdays in the lot directly south of Toad Hall as well as across the street.
Having said all this, there are so many great reasons to come to the Exchange District whether for shopping, eating, festivals, concerts......come see what the mall will never offer you.
Please note that we are in a heritage building with stairs and no wheelchair access. We are happy to provide any help we can in order to assist those with mobility issues, or with strollers. We would also be happy to chat by phone, or email and arrange for goods to be delivered. We are open to any other suggestions you may have as well. |
